The Iceberg (named because it helps “sync” your camera) is a powered breakout box for the RED EPIC and Scarlet cameras. It adapt an older signal used with a previous camera and converts it so it can trigger newer cameras.
In addition, it allows access to several other ports and allows the user to start the camera with a Canon intervalometer.
